The hospital ramp serves as an important accessway within V.L. Makabali Memorial Hospital Inc., especially for patients using wheelchairs and for the transport of stretchers or hospital beds whenever needed. Over time, the previous ramp had already shown signs of wear and became less convenient and safe for daily use.
Since the area was more open before, patients, staff, and visitors were also directly exposed to heat during hot weather and rain during bad conditions, making the pathway less comfortable for everyday use and which may increase the risk of slips or injuries if not properly improved.
Through this improvement project, the area was upgraded into a 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒓, 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒑 designed to provide better mobility, comfort, and accessibility for everyone. The improved structure now offers a more secure and covered passageway that supports smoother movement within the hospital environment while creating a more comfortable and patient-friendly space.
Beyond improving accessibility, the upgraded ramp is also planned to 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 such as 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 and light physical activity programs that promote health and rehabilitation within the community.
